Opening Update - 04/09/21UpdatedFriday April 9, 2021 by Board of Directors.
Signups for memberships are open!
Thank you for your patience as we have worked to develop a plan for the pool for the coming year. Last year was a challenge in light of ever-changing information and we were grateful for the support of the community, staff and membership as we did everything possible to offer what we considered essential opportunities while keeping the community safe.
As you can imagine, the situation remains fluid but we have developed the following initial plan for the pool based on guidance from the Department of Health and various governmental authorities.
We will be continuing with our online reservation system (https://redhookpool.getomnify.com/#!/subscriptions) for the following programs this year. An online reservation system will remain in place to ensure approved occupancy for each activity as well as for contact tracing. Online availability is on a first come, first served basis. Payment must be made online only.
Swim lessons will continue as one to one instruction. Each session is $125 for 5 days (Monday – Friday). First lesson session begins 6/28/21. The last session begins 8/16.
Lap Swim will again be available early morning hours and always while we are open for family swim. Maximum of two swimmers per lane, starting from opposite ends unless related family members. Lap swim membership is offered “ala-carte” at $10 per session. Sunshades are not guaranteed for lap swimmers.
We are thrilled to again offer Family Memberships this year! Family swim will be divided into four 2-hour reservation time slots, 7 days a week. Pool opens for Family swim at noon each day of the week. There is anticipated 50% capacity to pool. There will be one sunshade available per family / reservation. You MUST register for family swim sessions. Drop ins will NOT be accommodated.
Before you register for any of our services, you'll need to create an account or login to the account you created last year. When you sign up for family swim, only register with one primary member, pay for your membership, and add your family members to your account after.
Upon arrival each person admitted to the pool will be asked a series of health questions and have their temperature taken before admittance to help ensure everyone’s well-being. There will be limited access to the locker room, restroom and changing areas. A porta potty with hand washing station will be available. We anticipate the snack bar will be open this year.
The Board of Directors will continue to monitor new information, guidance and recommendations as the summer progresses and will make any additional changes we can to ensure the greatest access to the pool in the most reasonable and responsible way. As always, the health, safety and well-being of the community is our primary concern.
We again thank everyone for your patience and understanding in these extraordinary times and continue to hope you and your family stay healthy and safe.
